Dandeli is a remarkable place for birding even though the Monsoon season can drastically reduce the number of sightings. Two places in particular are iconic. One of them is a government timber yard that's a haven for birds and the other one called Ganesh Gudi, where the jungle lodges has created one of Karnataka's most famous bird hides.
