Another bird that has struggled to adapt to the Anthropocene era. There was a time when I used to spot this species regularly in Bangalore. One pair used to roost regularly at our window on the 10th floor of a building on MG road, the heart of the central business district. Now, this species is classified as 'Endangered' (EN) by IUCN.
