Rarely have I been disappointed at the end of a Galibore trip. This time we saw this shy owl perched in a tree just a few metres from our tent.

Brown-hawk Owl (Ninox scutulata)
This Brown-hawk owl was getting ready to retire after what I'm sure was a long night of activity. It stayed up long enough for me to take one picture before it hid into a denser part of the foliage.
