Birds Of The Farm - 2021

As the pandemic rages on, we continue to spend more time at the farm, and in the process get acquainted with more of the residents here.

Small Green or White-cheeked Barbet (Accipiter virgatus)

The fruits on the Singapore cherry tree are a favourite for the White-cheeked Barbet.

Purple Sunbird (Cynnirus asiaticus)

There's a kind of social spider in our farm who work together to construct large messy, but effective webs. This Purple sunbird's breakfast plan was to take their heist from one web to the other all morning picking off all the bugs stuck to them.

Tickell's Blue Flycatcher (Cyornis tickelliae)

One half of a pair of Tickell's Blue that live under the foliage of a large mango tree.

The other half.

Small Minivet (Pericrocotus cinnamomeus)

Male Small Minivet picking off insects from a Papaya plant.

With the female not far behind.

Tawny-bellied Babbler (Dumetia hyperythra)

Cinereous Tit (Parus cinereus)

Asian Koel (Eudynamys scolopacea)

Purple Sunbird (Cynnirus asiaticus)

Oriental Honey Buzzard (Pernis ptilorhyncus)
